About Me

My name is Davi Medina. I am 9 years old and in 4th grade. I love penguins, Greek Mythology, playing tennis, and video games. I first started to build this website as part of my Creative Project for my application to the Nueva School.

I first started learning about Greek Mythology when I started reading the book Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Book one, The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordian when I was 8 years old. But during that time, I was also reading the book Wings of Fire: Book one, The Dragonet Prophecy by Tui T. Sutherland. I soon stopped reading the Percy Jackson series and read the Wings of Fire series. Even so, a series is only so long. Soon, I had finished the entire Wings of Fire series. By then, I had almost forgotten about Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I only resumed reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series when I saw my friend reading it and recommended it to me. In a blink of an eye, I was tearing through the series. Following the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series, I read the series Heroes of Olympus, pursued by the series Trials of Apollo. After reading those series, I read the book Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods.

I built this website for my Creative Project application for the Nueva School. I wrote all of the descriptions and stories myself, adapting the myths using the book Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods as my main information source. I typed all the descriptions and stories on Google docs first. I used ChatGPT for all the pictures. My mom helped me put it all together on Squarespace as a website. My mom also helped me do the links using HTML, teaching me on the way.
